RustySkins is an independent review site for Rust skin platforms, gambling sites, trading bots, marketplaces, and free-skin earning sites. We started it for a simple reason: almost every “top Rust sites” list online is a wall of referral links written by people who never deposited a dollar on the platforms they recommend. We wanted the resource we couldn’t find, one where every claim traces back to something a real person actually did with real money.
Our mission
Our job is to tell you which Rust skin sites are worth using, which are merely fine, and which to avoid, based on evidence, not marketing. That means naming fees precisely, publishing measured withdrawal times, listing genuine cons for every platform including our top picks, and being blunt about the fact that skin gambling is unregulated almost everywhere. Where a site is good for one kind of user and wrong for another, we say so.
Who we are
The RustySkins team is a small group of long-time Rust players who test every platform we cover ourselves. Reviews are led by Chris Renner, Editor, 6,000+ hours in Rust since 2016, and testing skin platforms hands-on since 2021. Chris has watched this ecosystem grow from a handful of jackpot sites into a full economy of marketplaces, trade bots and case-battle operators, and he has seen plenty of them exit-scam along the way. That history shapes how we review: trust and payout reliability are weighted above everything else.
How we pay for testing
Every test deposit comes out of our own testing budget. We do not accept deposit credit, “review balances”, or free promotional funds from the platforms we cover, because a reviewer playing with house money has no reason to care how withdrawals actually behave. When we say we deposited $50 and got a withdrawal back in 11 minutes, that was our $50.
RustySkins is funded by affiliate commissions: some platforms pay us when readers sign up through our links or use code RUSTYSKINS, and we disclose this on every page where such links appear. Affiliate income never changes a rating. Scores are set by the editorial team before any commercial relationship is discussed, several highly-rated sites on RustySkins pay us nothing, and some sites that pay us rank below competitors that don’t. If a platform’s only path to a better score is being a better platform, the incentives stay honest.
How we review
Every platform goes through the same process: a fresh account, a real deposit, real play or trades, a timed withdrawal, a support ticket with a measured response time, and verification of any provably fair claims. We re-review every site every 90 days, and every review carries a last-updated date. The full process, including our weighted rating rubric, is documented in our review methodology.
