Skinport charges 8% on every sale, dropping to roughly 6% on high-value items. You always know your cut before listing. DMarket’s fee moves with item liquidity: popular Rust skins sell around 5%, illiquid ones can cost up to about 10% to move. On a $100 liquid skin that’s $95 net on DMarket vs $92 on Skinport; on an illiquid skin the order flips. Practical rule from our testing: list liquid meta skins on DMarket, list everything else on Skinport, and never guess: both show the exact fee before you confirm.
Payouts: the real dividing line
This is where the choice usually settles itself. Skinport pays out to bank accounts only, with a €10 minimum: clean for European sellers with SEPA, slower and less convenient outside it. PayPal on Skinport is a buying method, not a payout method, a detail that trips up a lot of first-time sellers. DMarket pays to cards and a range of cryptocurrencies, which makes it the default for anyone who wants crypto or lives where bank transfers from EU platforms are a pain. Inventory depth and buying
Both carry deep Rust sections, with a caveat each. Skinport’s catalog is CS2-first, so Rust browsing filters and item metadata feel like the second-class citizen they are; you find things, just less comfortably. DMarket’s Rust depth trailed Skinport’s for mid-tier items in our August 2026 test, but its target-offer system (name your price and wait) partially makes up for it. For buyers the play is simple: search both, prices on identical Rust items routinely differ by 10% or more, and there’s no loyalty prize for shopping at one store.
